Walk the Sculpture Park

Just beyond the entrance to Roche Harbor, the San Juan Islands Sculpture Park features more than 150 unique installations. The sprawling 20-acre grounds bud up against Westcott Bay. Five different walking paths have been created, allowing you to explore as much or as little as you would like.

Steeped in History

In the late 1800s, lime deposits were discovered along the ridge above the harbor. Essential in the production of steel, plaster, cement and paper, lime was a commodity with a worldwide demand. The high value of this mineral caused Roche Harbor to develop into a thriving hub, complete with a modern lime factory. The remnants of the lime factory can still be seen today throughout the grounds of Roche Harbor Resort.
